Greetings,
Welcome to the November issue of StrokeNet.
Halloween that magical time of witches and goblins has
come and gone. As usual we had a large array of children
come by for their annual treat on Oct
31st.
Stroke Network member Carla Jean King Colucci
graciously shares her memory book. This is a collection
of family stories. Writing the memory book was good
therapy for Carla. She is hoping to inspire you to write
a similar work.
February 2008 is StrokeNet's Annual Creative
Writing Issue. All readers are invited to submit.
Both poetry and prose are accepted. Deadline for
submissions is December 31. Send to the Editor, lwisman@strokenet.biz. Be sure to
include both your first and last name.
The Creative Writings from the 2005 and 2007
issues are linked below. Read them to spark your own
ideas.

Preserving Family
Memories
Stroke Network member Carla Jean King
Colucci decided that she did not want to lose family
memories as relatives passed on. She preserved some by
writing a short book.
This was a special challenge for a
survivor. Carla worked with her daughter to finish the
project. Consider a similar project to aid in your
recovery.
This article shares Carla's tips and
provides a link to the memory book, "A Kind Man with a
Soft Heart: Stories about my Dad." Click to Read Memory
