Acupuncture and Stroke
Using Alternative Medicine to Increase Stroke Recovery
By Chris DeWald

There has been a lot of discussion over the years at The Stroke Network about Acupuncture and Stroke. In China it is a preferred treatment. In the US it is not covered by insurance for treating stroke. Is it worth the extra time and money involved? What other complimentary treatments are used with Acupuncture?

Chris researched first by seeking out data on what Acupuncture is and how it is used. He provides info covering the bases. Chris then sought out an Acupuncturist in his area and interviewed her. Check out her responses and website.

There are also links to videos of survivors who have tried Acupuncture. There is a statement from the National Institute of Health. There is also a link to an article where experiences of the members of The Stroke Network are assembled.

Whether or not you have had acupuncture or contemplate having it, this article and the various links will help to educate.
