Wow, can you believe it is November already?? The end of the year is fast approaching. Make sure your plans for the holidays include time. Time to reflect, time to restore your energy, time for family...


February 2009 is StrokeNet's Annual Creative Writing Issue. Everyone is invited to submit writings.

Each year readers are invited to submit creative writings for the February issue. Below you will see the guidelines. If you have any questions, send me an email. I look forward to this, the fourth creative writing issue. The creativity of our readers is amazing.

Guidelines:

·    Both poetry and prose are accepted
·    Maximum 1000 words
·    Writing must be original.
·    Does not have to be stroke related
·    Member Stories are not included. Sent them
     to the Member Story Coordinator, Deb
     Theriault, at dtheriault@strokenetwork.org
·    Avoid religion

·    Send submissions for the February issue to
     StrokeNet editor at lwisman@strokenet.biz
·    Submissions can be sent as an attachment in
     common software such as Word.
     Alternatively you may send as an email
     message
·    Deadline for submission December 31, 2008
·    Must include both your first and last names

To add your birthday, go to My Controls on the Message Board. Look for Personal Profile on the left of the screen. Select Edit Profile Information. Enter both your birthdate and your interests.

To locate My Controls from the home page of the Message board,
http://www.strokeboard.net, select Member Links, My Controls.

If you would like your stroke anniversary listed, send to the the Celebrations Monitor at nfiduk@strokenet.biz. Be sure to include your userid and the month, day and year of the stroke. If you are not the survivor, please include the survivor's first name and your relationship. For example: Bill, husband.
