Greetings,
Welcome to summer and new opportunity to get
outside. What a wonderful world to explore! I have been
enjoying watching my neighbor's backyard. Their daughter
turns 1 this month and new things are constantly being
added for her entertainment. The Stroke
Network is pleased to announce two new Newsletter Staff
Members. Walt Kilcullen is a
mentor for the Brain Injury Association of New Jersey.
He has written several articles already this year. Be
sure to check out his article "The Many Voices of
Aphasia." Brian Kahbaugh stroked
in November 2008. As a new survivor he has lots of
experiences to share. Be sure to read his column, which
is entitled "Reflections of a Survivor."
Enjoy the June newsletter!

Room By Brian Kahbaugh
Brian, who is a
recent stroke survivor, begins a new column this month.
He will share some of his reflections of a survivor as
he works to find his new position in the
world. This month Brian, who does use a
wheelchair, writes about encountering someone in a
waiting room in a wheelchair. Whether or not you are
wheelchair bound you will find this reflection
interesting.
