The year is winding down. Hope everyone is planning safe and enjoyable holidays.
 
This month three new people were added to the staff of this newsletter. We look forward to reading their contributions.
 
David Wasielewski will provide research and articles on various ways to improve stroke outcome to help stroke family members on their post stroke journey. Erin and JJ Robertson will be working as a team. JJ is the survivor with a writing history. He is learning to write again.
 
The Stroke Network offers its fifth Creative Writing Issue February 2010. This is your chance to share your creative writing. Dust off the keyboard! Deadline for article submissions is Dec 31, 2009.

· Writings can be prose or poetry.
· Maximum number of words is 1000.
· Do not submit your story. If you would like your story published see the instructions in the Member Stories section of this newsletter.
· Submissions do not have to be stroke related.
· First and last name must be included.
· Submissions can be sent as attachment or directly in the message area of your email program. Please do not send in PDF format.
· If you have questions please email the editor.

Each month members' birthdays, which they have placed in their message board profile, are listed.

To add your birthday, go to My Controls on the Message Board. Look for Personal Profile on the left of the screen. Select Edit Profile Information. Enter both your birthdate and your interests.

To locate My Controls from the home page of the Message board,
http://www.strokeboard.net, select Member Links, My Controls.

If you would like your stroke anniversary listed, send to the the Celebrations Monitor at nfiduk@strokenetwork.org. Be sure to include your userid and the month, day and year of the stroke. If you are not the survivor, please include the survivor's first name and your relationship. For example: Bill, husband.
