Greetings,
I hope you are having a good season. This
month my family took two road trips. Included were stops
at Harry Truman Presidential Library (Independence, Mo)
and Dwight Eisenhower Presidential Library (Abilene,
Ks). Both are worth the trip.
Several
years ago we visited Lincoln Presidential Museum
(Springfield, Il) and Bill Clinton Presidential Library
(Little Rock, Ar). They were also worth the trip. It is
a great way to stretch your mind and learn new data.
Celebration
Administrator position open. Nancy Fiduk is retiring
from the position. Each month the Celebration
Administrator collects birthdays and stroke anniversary
dates members have registered and creates the Member
Celebrations article for this newsletter.
This
job requires attention to detail so may not be the best
fit for a recent survivor. If you are interested, please
let me know.
Enjoy
the August newsletter!

Living
With Stroke: A Guide for Families By Richard
R Senelick, MD Peter Rossi, MD and Karla
Dougherty
Reviewed By David
Wasielewski
Many
families are provided with literature, which primarily
deals with technical issues, following a stroke. David
saw early on that literature dealing with the emotional
side was critical for families. The book he reviews does
some of both. Be sure to check it out.
