December 2010
Greetings,

The holidays are upon us. It is a time to celebrate. It is also a time of stress for many survivors and caregivers. Crowds may no longer be fun. Gatherings can be noisy and chaotic. What can you do?

Things I have found helpful include:

· Prepare for large gatherings with some quiet time, good music, and or a nice hot bath.

· Shop over the internet. The crowds are much worse at this time of year.

· Plan at least one event that only includes 1 - 3 people who know you well and are not going to give grief.

· Treat yourself to a special holiday gift. Pick something you will really enjoy - even something "small."

· Enjoy your friends and relatives

Enjoy the December Newsletter!
