Greetings,
April begins with April Fool's Day. Sometimes
the entire month can fool you. It is a time (in the northern
hemisphere) to expect spring to "permanently" take hold. It
is a time of new beginnings as gardens come to life. Hope this spring
is a good one!
As most of you are aware, the Speak No Evil
column is a collaboration of the Robertson family. This month son, Eli,
contributes an article where he reflects on what it is like to have
your father stroke when you are eight.
There are two articles which reflect on long
term stroke survival. David writes about how he has turned loses into
gains. Lin reflects on being a 15 year survivor.
In The Juggling Caregiver, Claudia reflects on
what it means to have dogs in her life.
A new feature "Ten Ways to..." begins
this month. Read Ten Ways to Participate in The Stroke Network for
ideas beyond your usual patterns.
Be sure to check out organization news in
Organization Highlights and the celebration list to see who has
registered their birthday or stroke anniversary.
Enjoy the April newsletter!
