Vol 14, No 10

October 2014
Greetings,

Welcome to the October issue of StrokeNet, the newsletter of The Stroke Network.

It is Fall. This is the time of year when we have crisp days and colorful leaves. Enjoy!

Ways to assess this newsletter. If you are having problems reading this newsletter, click on Online Version (or the url if it is shown) at the top. Some email programs read the email as text and therefore you do not see icons and cannot access the articles.

The Online Version can also be accessed from the Bookshop (http://www.strokenet.info/newslette/month/.)

In this issue...

Two articles appear which address how stroke survivors can help educate medical personnel. In Dancing with Stroke, Jim shares his experience giving presentations to third year Medical Students. David then shares his experience of giving a presentation to a Stroke Medical Team.

We are The Stroke Network is an article where Deb describes what The Stroke Network is and isn't. Jeanette shares some "Inspirationals" she has written to help stay in the present.

In Born Again Moses encourages Survivors to Bounce Back. Claudia, in The Juggling Caregiver, gives advice on learning to read again.

Bookends to this newsletter are Organization News and Member Celebrations. Be sure to read both!

Enjoy the October newsletter!
