Greetings,

Welcome to the December 2015 issue of StrokeNet.

The holiday season is in full swing and will keep going for awhile. Some suggestions, which I have been collected over time:

· Prepare for large gatherings with some quiet time, good music, and or a nice hot bath.

· Shop over the internet. The crowds are much worse at this time of year.

· Plan at least one event that only includes 1 - 3 people who know you well and are not going to give grief.

· Treat yourself to a special holiday gift. Pick something you will really enjoy - even something "small."

· Enjoy your friends and relatives

In this issue..

David shares his experience caring for his elderly parents. In "A Special Holiday Present" Deb tells the story of a present she received 30 years ago. "Selecting Holiday Gifts" gives ideas of thought filled gifts.

Claudia, in "The Juggling Caregiver" provides direction toward being a Stress-less Caregiver. Jim, in "Dancing with Stroke," shares the journey of changing stroke perceptives. Rachel in "Stroke of Luck" discusses panic attacks.

Bookends to the newsletter are Organization Highlights and Member Celebrations. Be sure to read both!

Enjoy the December newsletter!
